Two U.S. Naval Special Warfare SEALs and a U.S. Marine with Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, provide over watch from the superstructure on the expeditionary staging base USS Miguel Keith (ESB 5), in the Philippine Sea, Feb. 2, 2022. The Navy and Marine Corps coming together to conduct these operations at sea maintains their status as a force in readiness, prepared to act around the globe at a moment’s notice. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
