Chief Warrant Officer 2 Daniel Nembhard, an AH-64 Apache helicopter pilot from Mandeville, Jamaica, assigned to A Company, 1-229 Attack Battalion, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, recreates a historic photo of Warrant Officer Bob Farris, assigned to C “Condor” Troop, 2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. The Vietnam War was the first American war in which Black Americans served as Army helicopter pilots in combat operations.
