220203-N-TR141-0188 EAST CHINA SEA (Feb. 3, 2022) Quartermaster 2nd Class Gabriel Carrillo, from Corpus Christi, Texas, and Quartermaster Seaman Jalen Toya, from Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico, both assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105), raise the battle flag after a replenishment-at-sea with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) ship JS Mashu (AOE 425). Dewey is assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15 and is underway supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific.
