U.S. Marine Staff Sgt., Matthew Hopper, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Tech with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), carries a wet screen pipe during excavation operations in Sekong Province, Lao Peoples Democratic Republic, Jan. 30, 2022. DPAA team members deployed to the area in hopes of recovering the remains a missing service member from the Vietnam War. There are currently 1,584 service members unaccounted for from the conflict.
