U.S. Marines from 23rd Marine Regiment and Soldiers from the 919th Military Police Company, New Mexico National Guard, participate in a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) sparring competition at Fort Pickett, Virginia on Jan. 24, 2022. MCMAP sparring matches are used for Marines to practice executing techniques, learned during MCMAP classes, in a simulated close-quarters combat environment.
