U.S. Air Force Gen. Jacqueline D. Van Ovost, U.S. Transportation Command commander, met with U.S. Army Gen. Charles A. Flynn, U.S. Army Pacific commanding general, Jan. 26, at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Their meeting was followed by a round table with selected USARPAC leaders where they discussed mission readiness needed foster a free and open Indo-Pacific. USTRANSCOM’s mission is to project and sustain military power globally in order to assure their friends and allies, deter potential adversaries, and if necessary, respond to win decisively.
