U.S. Air Force Gen. Jeffrey Harrigian, U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa commander, lays a wreath down at the Genocide Memorial in Kigali, Rwanda, Jan. 25, 2022. Since 2001, more than 250,000 victims of the genocide have been buried at the memorial. Gen. Harrigian is participating in the 2022 African Air Chiefs Symposium, an event that aims to identify key challenges confronting African air chiefs and expand membership of the Association of African Air Forces.
