An AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Rein.), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) receives fuel during a Forward Arming and Refueling Point exercise while on Ie Shima Island, in Okinawa Japan, Jan. 6th 2022. The Marines conducted what is known as a hot load, refueling and loading ordinance while the helicopter is still under power. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
