Michael Espinosa, an engineer equipment electrical systems technician with 2nd Maintenance Battalion, a certificate of commendation for placing as runner-up in the 2nd MLG Commanding General’s Innovation Challenge on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Jan. 19, 2022. Cpl. Espinosa’s proposal for a pyrolysis treatment process, which would reduce waste, protect the environment, create renewable resources, and save the Marine Corps millions of dollars in operating costs, earned him second place in the competition.
