Trent Outhouse, Medical Inspector General, U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, about the capabilities of the Naval Infectious Diseases Diagnostic Laboratory (NIDDL). The NIDDL serves in the detection and identification of high-risk and emerging infectious diseases and is a member of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Laboratory Response Network for detection and reporting of infectious disease threats around the globe.
