220107-N-MR124-2012 INDIAN OCEAN (Jan. 7, 2022) An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, attached to the “Blackjacks” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSM) 21 approaches the flight deck of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS O’Kane (DDG 77), Jan. 7, 2022. O’Kane, part of the USS Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) along with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with alliances and partners and serve as a ready response force to ensure maritime security and a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
