U.S. Marine Corps bulk fuel specialists with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Rein.), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), construct and utilize a Helicopter Expedient Refueling System (HERS) at a Forward Arming and Refueling point on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 30, 2021. The modular nature of the HERS allows Marines to adapt to extremely varied conditions and mission sets. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
