Gold Star Family members, veteran’s motorcycle groups, Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps members and local community members participate in the Wreaths for Warriors Walk event alongside Family and service members to pay tribute to the heroic sacrifices of the fallen Soldiers memorialized there on Fort Stewart, Georgia, Dec. 18, 2021. Each December, in support of National Wreaths Across America Day, the 3rd Infantry Division honors fallen Soldiers, while educating the community and new generations about their sacrifices. There are 469 white flowering crape myrtle trees at the Fort Stewart Warriors Walk, providing a place for Soldiers, Families and veterans to reflect, and serve as a reminder of the sacrifices of the fallen.
