An MH-60S Sea Hawk, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 12, is prepared for take off during a high altitude, low opening (HALO) parachute jump training at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Dec. 13, 2021. U.S. Marines and a U.S. Air Force Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) specialist conducted week-long jump training using Air Force and Navy aircraft. The training supports the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s dynamic force employment (DFE) concept through agile combat employment (ACE), which supports the National Defense Strategy effort to conduct training with joint partners while maintaining global peace and security.
