Michael Holland, chief of staff of U.S. Northern Command, to announce he’s accepted command of Submarine Squadron (SUBRON) 2 during a ceremony to establish the command at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY) in Kittery, Maine, Dec. 10. SUBRON 2 was established to provide administrative, logistical, and operational support for fast-attack submarines homeported at PNSY during periods of maintenance and improvement.
