A U.S. Marine with 3d Marine Logistics Group participates in a live fire range to test combat marksmanship skills during Korean Marine Exercise Program in Pohang, South Korea, Oct. 26, 2021. KMEP is a bilateral training exercise that increases interoperability and strengthens combined capabilities of the Republic of Korea Marines and U.S. Marines. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
