Royal Thai Air Force Combat Controllers determine their target before a call-for-fire with an AC-130J Ghostrider assigned to the 4th Special Operations Squadron at the Eglin Range Complex, Florida, Nov. 8-19, 2021. Special Tactics Airmen from the 320th Special Tactics Squadron based out of Kadena Air Base, Okinawa Japan, hosted their joint and Thai counterparts in order to strengthen partnerships as well as familiarize members with Air Force Special Operations Command’s close air support tactics and aircraft. Special Tactics Airmen serve as U.S. Special Operations Command's tactical air-to-ground integration force and the Air Force's only special operations ground force, leading global access, precision strike, personnel recovery and battlefield surgery operations.
