Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services Contingency Overseas Readiness team member Eric Woods uses an EW 180 wheeled excavator with a grapple attachment to place excess military equipment into a shredder for mutilation. Woods took part in a two week long exercise in June 2021 on the island Guam. Both items are part of a prepositioned equipment kit that allows DLA Disposition Services to deploy a team, build and operate a site and provide disposal support to military units in a forward area. Military units in Guam were invited to turn in excess property during the exercise to give the COREX team a realistic experience of dealing with real customers and property.
