Slovenian Armed Forces Commander, Maj. Gen. Miha Skerbinc asks questions during a maintenance walkthrough with Col. Michael F. Kloepper, 173rd Airborne Brigade Commander, and Maj. Gen. Andrew Rohling, Commanding General of U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa, on Caserma Del Din, Italy, Dec. 7, 2021. Kloepper, Skerbinc and Rohling viewed some of the equipment that the 173rd Brigade Support Battalion (Airborne) use to support the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
This meeting was part of a visit by Skerbinc to the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa. This visit gave the 173rd Airborne Brigade a chance to meet and talk about future opportunities for interoperability training.
Rohling, the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa commander, and Skerbinc discussed Slovenia’s interest in training opportunities with the 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) and defense and security topics in Africa. During his visit, Skerbinc met with 173rd Airborne Brigade Commander Col. Michael F. Kloepper and observed the 173rd’s methods for keeping equipment at a high state of readiness.
