Lori McAlexander, Program Coordinator and Racheal Tucker, Coordinator, from Hiring Our Heroes teach a group of Afghan evacuees about interview techniques and resume building skills at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Dec. 7, 2021. Task Force McCoy hosted a class with Hiring Our Heroes to help Afghan evacuees learn the process of employment. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
