U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Joseph Ryan, 25th Infantry Division Commander and Task Force Ohana Senior Mission Commander, speaks with U.S. Congressman Ed Case, the U.S. Representative for Hawaii's 1st Congressional District, on Aliamanu Military Reservation, Dec. 4, 2021. Congressman Case visited AMR to discuss the ongoing services being provided to residents after a preliminary analysis by the Hawaii Department of Health detected a petroleum product in water samples from the water system.
Task Force Ohana Soldiers are currently providing ongoing support to the local residents of Aliamanu Military Reservation and Red Hill housing areas due to affected water supplies. Services provided to residents include the distribution of fresh water, alternate lodging, medical screening services, and identification of any other resident needs. AMR and Red Hill residents can come to the AMR Community Center, Bldg. 1788, 182 Kauhini Road, where a Family Assistance Center has been stood up to coordinate being moved to a hotel or new home or to talk to a health care professional to coordinate medical care.
