WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Nov. 26, 2021) USS Howard (DDG 83) arrives in New Zealand for a routine port visit, marking the first visit to the country from a U.S. warship since 2016. Howard is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy's largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet's principal surface force.
