Senior Airman Christopher Pierce, 776th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron (EABS) firefighter, carries a fire hose in preparation for an emergency entry onto a C-130J Super Hercules during an in-flight emergency egress training at Chabelley Airfield, Djibouti, Nov. 12, 2021. The joint training consisted of Airmen from the 776th EABS and the 75th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron with a focus on emergency response skills, while also ensuring the ability to work as a cohesive team. The training simulated an aircraft emergency while on approach to Chabelley Airfield. Training such as this prepares Airmen to respond to aircraft emergencies and preserve the lives of aircrew, while still protecting the base. (U.S. Air Force courtesy photo)
