SAN DIEGO (Nov. 16, 2021) – Sailors practice splicing together shore power cables with the help of a Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) electrician during the annual Shore Power Training at the Naval Base San Diego base theater. Annual shore power training is a tool for enabling waterfront subject matter experts to connect with Sailors and explain the importance of preventative safety actions and adherence to the correct procedures in handling shore power connection cables.
