(Nov. 19, 2021) Family members pin a chief petty officer (CPO) collar device on Chief Electronics Technician Jason Kokos during a CPO pinning ceremony for Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group (EODGRU) 1 and its subordinated commands onboard Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, Calif., Nov. 19. EODGRU-1 and its subordinate commands are a critical part of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Force (NECF) that clears explosive hazards to provide access to denied areas, secures the undersea domain for freedom of maneuver, builds and fosters relationships with capable and trusted partners, and protects the homeland.
