    SAN DIEGO (Nov. 19, 2021) SAN DIEGO - A newly-pinned chief petty officer assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) San Diego celebrates with his family and friends during a pinning ceremony in the hospital's courtyard Nov. 19. The 11 Sailors and one Marine selected for promotion participated in six weeks of leadership and physical training to be better-suited in their new roles as senior enlisted leaders. NMRTC San Diego’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMRTC San Diego employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
