PANAMA CITY – (Nov. 16, 2021) – Rear Adm. Jim Aiken, Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet speaks to Capitán Eric Cedeno, commanding officer of the Panamanian National Aero-naval Service (SENAN) Near Coastal Patrol Vessel (NCPV) “General Omar Torrijos” (P-230) during a tour of the vessel in Panama City, Nov. 16, 2021. The vessel was named in honor of a former Commander of the Panamanian National Guard. An official donation ceremony for the NCPV will take place later this month. U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet serves as a trusted partner for Caribbean, Central and South America maritime forces leading to improved unity, security and stability.
