At an awards ceremony Nov. 17 at the brigade headquarters, Col. Brad Bane, the commander of the 405th Army Field Support Brigade, presented a Civilian Service Achievement Medal to Lawrence Torres, the 405th AFSB operations director, for his part supporting critical logistical efforts needed to assist more than 30,000 Afghan evacuees transitioning through the European theater during Operation Allies Refuge and Operation Allies Welcome.
