General Paul Funk II's son snaps a photo of Funk and Fort Knox Middle/High School football Coach Wes Arnold in the locker room before the final football game of the season October 29. The Fort Knox Eagles honored Funk, commanding general, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, and former Eagle football star, with a jersey retirement ceremony during halftime of the final game of the 2021 season. Funk's former coaches surprised him by attending the leader's homecoming ceremony and he attributed his initial leadership training to his mentors.
