An LC-130 "Skibird" ski-equipped aircraft assigned to the New York Air National Guard's 109th Airlift Wing, leaves Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia, New Yoirk, heading to Antarctica on Nov. 15, 2021. The wing flies the largest ski-equipped aircraft in the world and supports National Science Foundation research in Antarctica.
