DJIBOUTI, Djibouti (Nov. 10, 2021) – U.S. Navy Master-at-Arms 3rd Class Alyssa Cooley, from Edgerton, Ohio, pushes children on a swing at Caritas Orphanage, Djibouti, Nov. 10, 2021. Caritas has been working with street children in Djibouti for the last 18 years. Most of the nearly 1,000 street children registered with the organization in the country are migrants. Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti serves as an expeditionary base for U.S. military forces providing support to ships, aircraft and personnel that ensure security throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia. The base enables maritime and combat operations in the Horn of Africa while fostering positive U.S.-Africa relations. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Jacob Sippel)
