Sailors assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 5 participate in a daytime familiarization flight onboard an MH-60S Night Hawk in the Atlantic Ocean, September 12, 2021. HSC-5 is currently performing Helicopter Advanced Readiness Program (HARP) training in the Atlantic to support naval operations conducted by Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7 and the aircraft carrier USS George H. W. Bush's (CVN 77) upcoming deployment. The U.S. Navy conducts HARP operations to maintain maritime stability and security in order to ensure access, deter aggression and defend U.S. allied and partner interests.
