U.S. Navy Lt. Dawn Federonick, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, folds blankets while volunteering in her off time at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society in Wenatchee, Washington, Nov. 10, 2021. The humane society has received many Navy personnel as volunteers during the Sailors stay in Wenatchee. Sailors assigned to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington, are deployed from Fort Belvoir, Virginia, in support of the continued Department of Defense COVID response operations to help communities in need. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-of-government COVID response.
