    Defense Department Support to FEMA COVID-19       

    U.S. Navy Lt. Dawn Federonick, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, plays with a cat for enrichment while volunteering in her off time at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society in Wenatchee, Washington, Nov. 10, 2021. Animal shelters usually have enrichment programs to help reduce the stress and boredom of the kennel. Sailors assigned to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington, are deployed from Fort Belvoir, Virginia, in support of the continued Department of Defense COVID response operations to help communities in need. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-ofgovernment COVID response.
