As part of an on-going effort to provide quality-of-life for Afghan guests during their temporary stay at the camp while awaiting paperwork for further travel, Task Force Liberty Soldiers work with members of the Air Force Central Band to entertain guests. This is the second time the Air Force Central Band has performed at the camp.
Task Force Liberty is the Afghan Evacuations Mission Support Element under Task Force Spartan and responsible for meeting the transportation, security, logistics, medical and morale and welfare needs of Afghan guests at CAS. It is currently staffed by Soldiers from the Fort Belvoir, Virginia-based 29th Infantry Division, with assistance from personnel in all three Army components.
