CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (Nov. 8, 2021) – U.S. Navy Chief Builder Alfredo Estrella, from Battlefield, Mo., serves as the leading chief petty officer at the Camp Lemonnier Self Help woodshop. “I have a shop at home so this is something I really enjoy doing,” says Estrella. “Helping people and recognizing the hard work they do by making end-of-tour or Sailor of the quarter plaques is an extremely rewarding experience. I love to see everyone’s smile when they see the quality work we do.” Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti serves as an expeditionary base for U.S. military forces providing support to ships, aircraft and personnel that ensure security throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia. The base enables maritime and combat operations in the Horn of Africa while fostering positive U.S.-Africa relations. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Jacob Sippel)
