U.S. Navy Lt. Pamela Shareef, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command, Fort Belvoir, Florida, looks at one of the many animals up for adoption at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society in Wenatchee, Washington, Nov. 6, 2021. Shareef is deployed to Wenatchee, Washington, to help providers at Central Washington Hospital with patient care. Sailors assigned to the hospital are deployed from Florida, Illinois and Virginia, in support of the continued Department of Defense COVID response operations to help communities in need. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-of-government COVID response.
