YOKOSUKA, Japan (Nov. 5, 2021) — Fifty three U.S. military service members from the Kanto area participate in the Norwegian Foot March held at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka’s (CFAY) Ikego Housing Detachment. Hosted by CFAY, the event attracted approximately 20 CFAY Sailors, as well as members of afloat, tenant and local commands. The march tested participants’ mental and physical strength, consisting of a fully-uniformed trek over 18.6 miles carrying a 25-pound ruck sack within a designated qualifying time. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
