Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld visits foreign government and military officials in Kuwait and Bahrain June 9 and 10, 2002. Rumsfeld is also visiting U.S. service members at Commander U.S. Fifth Fleet Headquarter, the mine countermeasures ship USS Dextrous (MCM 13) and the guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64). Rumsfeld is on a 10-day mission that includes stops in Belgium, Germany, Estonia, Southwest Asia and the Indian subcontinent.
