Soldiers assigned to Task Force Liberty – the Afghan Evacuation Support Element under Task Force Spartan – marked another milestone Oct. 27 as they sent out another group of at-risk Afghans to America from Camp As Sayliyah, Qatar.
The nearly 700 Soldiers assigned here come from all three Army components and work around-the-clock to provide protection and health and welfare services to Afghan families during their temporary stay as they await paperwork.
Prior to Afghan travelers boarding busses for the airport, Soldiers passed out American flags to each traveler as they went through a final security check.
