U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers and U.S. Marines complete cold-weather field training during the Cold-Weather Operations Course Class 21-03 held Jan. 29th through Feb. 5th, 2021, at Fort McCoy, Wis.
Students are trained on a variety of cold-weather subjects including snowshoeing, skiing, tent building, water immersion, and how to use ahkio sleds. Training is focused on terrain and weather analysis, risk management, cold-weather clothing, and other survival tactics important to know for operating in a cold-weather environment.
