Kim Davis, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) San Diego’s commanding officer (left), awards Hull Maintenance Technician 3rd Class Axton Tidwell, a Sailor assigned to NMRTC San Diego (right), with a Shipmate of the Month Award during a ceremony at the hospital Oct. 29. With input from NMRTC San Diego directorates’ chain of command, Shipmate of the Month honors Sailors who perform their duties exceptionally well. NMRTC San Diego's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research.
