Maryland National Guard members of Maryland’s Vaccine Equity Task Force support the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home Vaccination & Education event on Oct. 20, 2021, in Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Staff members and residents attended the event which included walk-up COVID-19 vaccinations, performances from the MDARNG 229th Army Band, a barbecue, and two information sessions on vaccines with special guests and speakers to include U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Janeen Birckhead, leader of VETF and commander of MDARNG, Maryland Department of Health Sec. Dennis Schrader, Veteran Affairs Sec. George W. Owings III, Ms. Veteran America 2021 U.S. Army Maj.
