U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Charles Copeland, a joint tactical air controller, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), rides in a MV-22 Osprey before executing a close air support exercise with the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) on range W-174, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 20, 2021. The TACP consisted of Marine joint fire observers and joint terminal attack controllers who coordinated with aircraft to conduct close air support drills.
