EAST CHINA SEA (Oct. 14, 2021) Gunners Mate Seaman Raquell Carson, from San Diego, fires a shot line from Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) to Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Matthew Perry (T-AKE-9). Dewey is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
