U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 172, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, prepares the Marine Expeditionary Firefighting System to be loaded onto a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter on Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 7th, 2021. The MFER is an experimental firefighting system that enables fire rescue Marines to quickly respond to emergencies.
