U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. York Bahlauy, an electrician with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 172, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, redirects a solar panel from the Ground Renewable Expeditionary Energy Network System while conducting Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations on Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 6, 2021. MWSS-172 established a forward arming and refueling point on an airfield secured by 2d Battalion, 3d Marines to support sustained aviation operations. York is a native of Jackson, Michigan.
