Lawrence Woodall, an LAV-25 gunner assigned to Light Armored Reconnaissance Company, Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), prepares his gear in the well deck of the amphibious transport dock USS Portland (LPD 27) before a platoon reinforcement exercise, Oct. 8.
