210907-N-CD272-1001 SASEBO, Japan (Sept. 10, 2021) Equipment Operator 3rd Class Andrew Oakes, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, and Lance Cpl. Paul Vllovchik, assigned to 9th Engineering Support Battalion, guide Construction Mechanic 1st Class Christopher Harris in the forklift. The U.S. Navy Seabees and U.S. Marines transported equipment for an Expeditionary Mobile Fleet (EMF) Hospital relocation. The U.S. Navy Seabees assigned to NMCB-5 are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific, strengthening their alliances and partnerships, and providing general engineering and civil support to joint operational forces.
