Clearance of navigable waterways continues following Hurricane Ida in southeastern Louisiana. Shown, a US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District tug and crane supporting these efforts in partnership with the Navy Supervisor of Salvage and Diving (SUPSALV), the Coast Guard and Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority.
U.S. Navy Supervisor of Salvage and Diving has deployed uniformed and civilian salvage engineers along with industry partners in support of USACE to clear waterways impacted by Hurricane Ida. The salvage and dive teams are clearing vessels and debris in Bayou LaFourche, Bayou Rigaud, and along the Mississippi River.
